Guest speaker, Avantika Lal, Deep Learning & Genomics at NVIDIA, will present Accelerating Single Cell Genomic Analysis using RAPIDS and demo a Jupyter notebook built to analyze a dataset of 70,000 human lung cells to identify cells that are susceptible to COVID-19. By running a GPU-accelerated version of the notebook, she experienced dramatic acceleration, including 100x faster clustering and visualization.

Ben Busby, Principal Scientist at DNAnexus, will then present leading technologies and real world examples of how machine learning is being used in biomedical research, including:
